Another great find from SPT!!

Another great secret revealed by SPT is this 3M primer in a easy to dispense ampule!! Once you try this product I guaranty you will love it!! This will take your VHB tape and turn it into something awesome! We at SPT have been using this 3M product for years in some of our products and will attest to is ability to drastically  increase the bonding performance of adhesive tapes.  The primer should be used anywhere you will be using adhesive backed material.  Like for example: before installing sound deadening felt material between plastic parts or Zip-tie mounting pads.

Surface Preparation: The bonding surface must be relatively clean and dry.
Contaminated surfaces should be cleaned with a 50/50 Isopropyl Alcohol and water
mixture. A clean lint-free cloth should be used.
Application: Shake primer well before using. Apply a thin uniform coating to the
bonding surface using the minimum amount that will fully coat the surface. Allow
primer to dry thoroughly before applying tape. This is usually accomplished
in 5 minutes at room temperature. Be sure the primed surface remains free from
contaminants prior to applying the tape. Porous surfaces may require 2 applications
of primer for uniform coverage and good adhesion. Allow first application of
primer to dry before applying the second coat.

Clean up: Primer can be removed with isopropyl alcohol. Vigorous scrubbing
may be required.
